Gold finches nest in my woods at the back of my farm. One day I was on a ladder picking cherries when about 15 of them were flying toward the tree and when they saw me, they all flew into the cedar tree next to the cherry tree. They waited till I was done then picked their own cherries. Finches and mockingbirds will clean the tree in one afternoon. Robins and starlings clean up the ground.
