Kruser I don't no if this the case but I worked on a late model JD last year for a friend of mine. It would not pull fuel from the tank up to the filter no matter what you did. Finely figured out it had a check valve in the line from the tank to the filter and it was not holding. When I pulled it out it had a small piece of plastic shavings from when the holes were drilled in the tank at the factory. I went the local dealer and they knew just what I was talking about. Seems it is a common problem with the plastic tanks. If its not the filters or the solenoid at the pump it might be something to check
