The HR15 cuts very nicely. I use mine to cut around 30 acres of horse paster with the deck height set at 5 inches. The deck can be as low as 1.5 inches I believe. If your ground is smooth, you can cut in 2nd gear. You will reduce the cutting time at least in half if not more. If the machine is feild-ready needing nothing, $5,000 is in the ball-park. The HR15 is a high-maintence machine,with many moving/pivoting points. I just refurbushed mine, spending about $1,500 replacing all the spindle bearings, 2 hydraulic motors, pump coupler, changing the fluids/filters. Check the machine over well. Test drive it. The Perkins diesel is a work horse but it does not like to start below 50 degrees outside, unless it is in a garage.
