I used 2x10 womanized from Home Depot. Its held up OK for about 8 years now and is still good. My trailer lives outside also. If I ever do it again I will use 2x6 instead of the 2x10s though. I also made the mistake of butting the planks up tight as opposed to leaving a little gab between them. After allot of rain once two boards bowed up as the was no room to allow for the swelling.
