Depends on the year. The 03 and 04 are nothing but trouble. The 05, 06 & 07s are pretty good - for a diesel. That being said I wouldn't bother with a diesel unless all you are going to do is pull/haul nonstop with it. The mileage differential just isn't there and the cost of maintaining a diesel is so much higher than a gas.
10 years ago we had eight diesel 3/4 and 1 tons - we are now down to one and it only leaves the yard pulling a trailer with our truck driver at the wheel.
