Hi ever heard the saying for Ford Of Fix Or Repair Daily, That is the motor this term refers to. Pay a few thousand more and buy a well maintained 7.3 truck, I got one here that was abused from a guy and the motors got 535000kms and still better than 6.0. there is a reason early 2003 diesels make more than late 03"s round me. Had a guy come pay me for fixing a tractor last summer, got an 04 6.0 cheap Pile a crap was running outside my shop while he wrote a check, Dumped the egr right in my yard. Run for the hills as fast as you can go. Chances are if a guys got a good one, Ford will pay a premium for it in 10 years to put it in their museum, it will be so rare!. Regards Robert
