C1353696 is your serial number. Don't know what the D1 at the end is. Starting with a C means it's a U.S. built model. ("A" = Antwerp, Belgium, "B" = Basildon, England) 31023C is the model number. Starting with a 3 means it's a '65 to early '68 model. springfieldbiz.com has a code list so you can decipher each digit of that code. 5M17B is the unit number, which is a date code. 1965 (5) December (M) 17th, 2nd shift (B)
