I don't even pretend to understand the differences between systems, but I wish someone would just make a dead simple rig for guys like me that just pay bills, surf the net a little, watch a movie or 2 and some You Tube. Ohm and don't change the stupid thing for decades! 98 was fine by me, XP was perfect. I have Vista now and it's got too much crap running and options I'll never use. It's kind of like satellite TV where you have to buy 250 channels to get the 15 you actually watch!
