And we have a high tax rate to perpetuate the new "American Dream" - where everybody gets to live at a high standard, no matter what.
Now that the unions of sucked all the manufacturers dry - the government is stepping in to keep that dream alive.
Forcing higher minimum wages - giving more and more to non-producers.
The government is becoming a giant union on crack.
It's an easy sell - it's easy to get elected when you tell everybody you're going to tax the rich and spread the wealth.
path of least resistance - all people love to get something for nothing.
Can't blame the people really. They should be better educated in business, but they're not.
Can't really even blame the people they elect to represent them - they SHOULD know better, but they wouldn't get elected if they did the right thing.
It's a downward spiral.
No business savy person CAN get elected, because in a failing society - the rich are ALWAYS the enemy.
As we descend deeper and deeper into failure, the wealth of the rich is the last straw to clutch at. The rich will be come more and more the enemy as it gets harder and harder to get something out of them.
