Come on down to Spring Hill, Tennessee. There isn't any local hardware store, decent restaurant, independent grocer, tool store, tire store, bank, lumber yard, etc. And by the way, there hasn't been for many years.
Home Depot, Lowes, O'Charley's, NTW, a bunch of chain groceries, and chain banks built here when they saw the development of Spring Hill starting about 15 years ago. They are the "only game in town", but before they came we had no game in town.
At least, that's the way I see it.
