I know that is a common sentiment among the foolish, the low information crowd and is popular among elitists and Leftists. Even my union boss FIL used to think that way, until he realized how wrong he was (he's a blow hard but practical when he has to face reality) Nothing wrong with being a big store employing thousands of people that might not otherwise have jobs and providing goods at prices that are affordable. Out local town is a good example of what might be had Wally World not come to town... poor local selection and high prices on what you could find, no competition for the big grocery so higher prices. People going to the big city for work, if they could find it. Now folks work here and the sales tax generated supports the local economy, not the one in the neighhboring county.
