About 5 years ago I was hauling load of hay down road about 5 miles from my house. Saw smoke coming from under eves of a house. I pulled truck and trailer off road best I could and knocked on doors and windows, no answer. House was obviously on fire and could soon become seriously engulfed in flame. I did not have a cell phone. I went to one of their neighbors house , no answer there either, though I suspected someone was home. Went to another neighbor, asked if he would call 911, that his neighbors house was on fire. He said "Oh yea, I wondered what all that smoke was coming from". Meantime there must have been 20 cars pass by, probably cussing me for blocking part of the road. To bring this back to the subject at hand, it was the dryer vent that caused the fire. I am sure my action saved that house because nobody else paid it no never-mind!!
