Well WD40 is a water displacement fluid that dries out to near nothing. It temporarily stpos leaks and has smell, but it is assuredly not a rust penetrant. PB blaster is a penetrant (pretty good in my opinion. ZEP, Kroil, Liquid Wrench, PLS LST, and a mix of acetone and ATF work well. WD does have a different product that they sell as a penetrant, No experience, no comment. Jim
