I read this using my XP home lap top and it reminded me to go grab my Ubuntu OS hard drive and slap it in and give it a try, and something very odd happened when I shut this guy down, I had 5 KBs waiting to be installed, and they installed before it shut down. I'm not happy with Microsoft's decision, but it is their software, we just lease it. XP has been very good to me over the years, and as of now, still is. Now, I'm going to grab my old IBM T30 that use use for work for applications that won't work with 7 or 8, and I'm going to slap the Ubuntu HD in it, go on line and see what it does. I'm curious how its going to react with printers and other peripherals. But before I do, I'll fire up the XP HD and see if one last set of KBs get pushed out to it like just happened on this one.
