The IH service manual prefer you remove flow divider orfice and install flow rater to check pump and also steering pressures. You don't have to do it that way, just put a 3000psi gauge in the plug hole where orfice is in and steer to stops to read steering relief valve pressure. The relief valve should read about 1800 to 2000 psi and is readily accessible at lower rear port of mcv. If you have hydraulic clutch booster it is that port. You don't read steering pressure at that port but access the steering relief valve. They usually blow the o-ring on the valve or unscrew the staked plug in valve.
