If it's real soft, meaning WET, then you probably aren't going to get any decent grazing off it. Your best bet is going to be using the crawler to establish some drains. You can mow with some crawlers, but you aren't going to make good hay with one in a swamp. If you're just trying to get rid of brush in a wet area, bush hog it in winter.
I've got lots of boggy land. Even in a dry summer the stock won't eat what grows there. It needs draining and lime.
