My M started running real rough at the end of last season. I thought that it was a problem with the carburetor, I pulled it and cleaned it out put it back on, no problem. I pulled off the distributor cap and there was metallic filings in it where the roater has been hitting. I am thinking the thing is just plumb wore out. I have seen where you can get like new shafts for the distributor online and was wondering if i can get by with just replacing this or do i need to get a whole new distributor?
