Around here the common thing is JD, but that is only because the president of the club has 12 of them! All letter series.
There will probably be:
JD A B G GM GW 830 730 Farmall M and H (+what ever I take) IH Crawler MAYBE an Oliver 66 Allis Chalmers WD-45
That pretty much covers the entire club... Kind of nice, because 30 acres makes a day event!
I just talked to a buddy of mine on the phone and he has farmed here all his life, he actually bought a John Deere 80 brand new!! He said that there is no way my JD B will pull a 7 foot disc in the soil we have here, he said that because the tires are empty and I don't have any weights, that I will just spin out, and that even if I did have the traction, I would have to do it in 1st gear to keep the tractor alive.
I think wit that information, I am going to take my JD 40T, Disc, and Plow in one load My Farmall C and Case Plow in one load And my Super C and Plow in one load
If I do this then I am still there in three trips, plus I have an extra plow/disc form someone else to use! Bryce
