: It will run fine, then every so often will just shut down. Mid 70's 1020 replaced filters and used diesel conditioner. After it sits for about 10 seconds, it'll fire right up again. : What Brand of Injection Pump is the tractor engine Equiped with? If it is a Rosa Master or Standyne your problem is probably due to a failed Weight Retainer Ring inside of your injection Pump and it will Require the pump to be removed and repaired. What happens is this rubber ring will detiriates and plugs the pump return system. This failure can be determined by starting the engine and when it gets ready to die loosen ths timming window on the side of the pump and let the fuel exaust out the side of it, if the engine stays running when you do this your return system is pluged up with little ground up pieces of rubber. After repairing pump be sure to clean reurn lines to tank with compressed air. Good Luck.
