As far as the charging goes, it depends on if it's a one wire alternator or one that requires a battery voltage sensing wire. If it's a one wire alternator all you need is a wire from the alternator battery post to the amp gauge to the battery. If it's not a one wire you will also need a wire from the battery to the sense terminal. You can make a short jumper from the alternator battery post to the sense terminal but a wire from the battery is the better way. Hope this helps. You should be able to go to CaseIH website parts books and get a wiring diagram but depending on what you want to leave modified it will be different.
