For a science project one year I decided to see if different kinds of music would effect the egg laying rate of chickens. Soooo, I put a radio in there, and they would get 2 days of music, then 2 days for a break, then 2 days of a different kind of music.
I found that Classic Rock, 70-90's, increased egg production by about 32%, country music didn't really seem to do anything, and that pop type stuff (Mikel Jackson, etc.) decreased egg laying by about 10%.
So in the end I concluded that Classic Rock was actually good for chickens, along with a "few red lights and a couple old beds" :) Bryce
