I don't know how to tell them apart for sure. I have some that I got at a good deal years ago at Farm & fleet going out of business sale in small plastic packs and the packs are labeled. You can weld some with them and tell for sure. The machineable one you can get a file to work on it. The non machineable type you have to use a grinder on it.
