Personaly I would like it if classic view bumped to the top with each new post like most forums. A thread on YT is dead within a hours if the subject isn't conterversial or banned. The reason you have 79 email notifications you couldn't care less about is because of people expressing opinions that have nothing whatsoever to do with the origional post. Something isn't right when one posts on subjects but are not interested in farthur comments by others.
