We sell freezer beef and pork. We've got a waiting list to buy from us. When a new customer comes on board, they know they're always welcome to visit out place. One of the first questions I usually get from townies is "Are they organic?"
This is always answered with a resounding and firm NO. I explain the feed program, list the ingredients, then go on to explain that no animal of mine will ever suffer prolonged sickness or injury just to maintain that organic status.
It's a never ending battle of education, but I think we not only have to continue, but it ought to be mandatory.
If you've ever done external_link or twitter and not checked out the cereal companies sites, you just don't know the level of hatred that exists in some of these folks.
