Bret, I think the last pair was north of $500, but that included custom made shoes too. There are only a few people who will make shoes by hand, one is in Vincennes, Indiana. If anyone is interested, I'll look up his number. They are made of real leather. Insoles, cork, and some kind of padding. Insoles may last about 6 months. Shoes need retreaded in about 9-12 months. You may want to get 2 pair, so while you are wearing one, you can send the other pair in for repair. That's what we did.
