As said below "Total mixed ration". All the feed is mixed together. Corn silage, haylage, ground corn, various protien supplemnets and minerals. This particular ration has a bit of straw mixed in to for dry fiber to maintain butterfat content of the milk and prevent twisted stomachs. The cows will eat on average about 100 pounds per day. The seller was using cotton seed for fiber, but he now raises his own oats and sells the grain and uses the straw in the ration for the dry fiber. Cheaper than buying the cotton seed and actually seems to be more effective.
