If he is selling nice stuff for scrap prices i would do some homework first.Don't get yourself in a bind trying to get a good deal.If he has been around the farm he should know there is more than scrap value to that equipment,sounds like a family dispute or as said maybe an outright crook selling stuff that is not his.good luck and proceed with caution!
