Yes , a spike goes through the bale , and the is atached to the winch, then it is raised up to the lock position on the car. This unit is a "AirBlow" . Not sure, but I think that they are imported from Europe. There are others on the market,I think De Laval even had one. Works slick, as these bales are heavy, nearly twice the weight of a dry bale.
