...was clutching the eggs! I left them for one day and this afternoon before heading for work I went to feed and get the eggs. Picked her up and remembered to check this time. As I raised her up, I could see there were about 8 eggs under her and she was clutching an egg in each foot! The mystery is solved about why I would pick her up and drop her about a foot to the ground and when I turned back around there would be two eggs laying there on the ground. I have never seen this behavior in about 25 years of keeping a few chickens for most of those years. veddy veddy Interrrresssting!
