He'll likely be back. He took a hiatus from the boards a few years ago on his own accord. As for getting banned, I'll bet it is a temporary thing. I can think of Dave2, 36 Coupe and Tom 43 that were banned for a while but then allowed back on. When they screwed up again I think Kim made it more permanent. Sometimes I think I ought to get myself banned from this place. I spend too darned much time on here.
