I played with it again today. A spent a lot of time observing what was actually happening. When I pull out knob to first position, dash light comes on and rear light and they stay on. When I pull out to next position, lights come on for about 30 secs. I can see instantly dash dims, then all lights go out. So I disconnected all rear lights, and same results. If I wait a minute I can turn lights on again, same results, after 30 secs lights out.
