I know the "kit," with the rack, the gear on the end of the cylinder, and a wire spring is Dorman/HELP # 83211, and my local AutoZoo sells it for under $10. So Generous Motors probably gets around $25-30 for it.
Car has 90-something thousand miles, and we're trying to get Mom to trade for a newer 4-cylinder automatic when the weather warms up.
