A friend of mine had a truck he wanted to sell, was not getting the $6,000.00 asking price. He put it up for sale again and did not put a price on it and asked for offers. A guy came out and wanted to buy it and asked approximately how much he wanted for it. Seller would not say, and asked for an offer. The buyer thought for awhile and said would you take $12,000.00 for it. The seller paused for awhile then said, I suppose I could let it go for that. Be careful on offers he wants to get everything you are willing to pay. After the sale he can always say, I did not charge you too much, that is what you offered me. Offer him 1/2 of what you think it is worth, or offer him what he paid for it, so it can be kept in the family. Good luck
