The funny thing I learned a few years ago is when Hesston made their "straight through" baler they bought the patent rights from Minneapolis Moline as they had a straight through design in the mid 1950s with the model 760 Balemaster. I believe New Idea made a straight through baler as well in the mid 50s but like less than 10 or 20 of them as it didn't work right. I agree....I don't think the dealers really care as they are just a salesman...you buy from them you have the best...until they sell something else.
