If you have the choice, get the Cath. done in your arm and not the groin, it's a lot less painful as they don't have to push the catheter so far.
I had a Cardiac Cath. done in my Right Antecubital (inside area of the elbow) when I was 17 years old because I'd had Rheumatic Fever at age 4. Got to watch the entire process on the overhead monitor. When they inject the radio-opaque dye into you, you feel a warming sensation from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. A unique experience.
