Assuming restored includes rebuilding any worn or damaged components then things to check for are 3020 pistons and sleeves (desirable and adds power). Balancers in engine have been checked and bearings not excessively worn. Clean shifting of transmission which means no issues with linkages or worn synchronizer assemblies. PTO engages smoothly and no issue in 540 operation. If the PTO hub has worked loose it may have damaged or broken the shifter mechanism. Hydraulics work and pump is fairly quiet as opposed to noisy and rattling which signals impending repair required. No leak around the yoke where the lift arms pull off of. Not as good as the 20 series were but if there are no issues such as listed above it should work out decent. The later diesels that were in the 2510 and 2520 were superior in torque and fuel economy but of course those tractors price much hire especially the 2520. I hope the 3010 checks out but if there are too many questions I would pass in favor of something else.
