On the 2nd of Jan 97 we had very little snow on the ground. Couple of inches. On the 3rd we got clobbered with a single snowfall of 36" in our area. Add in that there was no wind with it blowing some snow off of buildings and we had roofs down all over the place. Most of em collapsed after sunset. We were just not use to getting storms like that. My BIL's father put up a machine shed in 72. 40x80. He had em put in trusses at 4' on the center. It held up. But the ones that were 8' went down. There were a lot of folks clearing their roof after that.
