YOU HAVE A 400 M and it is still running at a 100 grad?? god that has to be a first . I had a 78 F250 4X4 with a 400 the first one went at three thousand miles and before the 12 month 12 mile warranty was out so were three more 400's along with other parts of the drive line like trans missions traction loc rear ends and a half dozen alt. When the warranty ran out and after two junk yard 400's i put a 460 in it and never looked back.
