All I disable is the seat switch. It isn't a problem for me to put my foot on the brake and have the blades disengaged to start it. I don't like it trying to shut off when I move my butt on a hill or hit a bump while cutting. Yea, sometimes I get off with the blades running. Sometimes I move it forward while standing beside it. I've let it creep forward towing the trailer vac while walking beside the vac holding the hose vacuuming up a large pile of leaves. Sometimes to clean the bagger chute I stick my hand down it pulling out packed leaves with the mowing deck running but my hand is no were close to reaching the blades. Usually removing just a few and it'll blow the rest out--if not I shut off the deck wait until the pulleys have stopped turning and stick my whole arm down it.
