Had a 91 with a 460. Pulled very well. The only trouble I had was when pulling pretty hard (10,000lb) it would crack heads. Took a while to crack the first one but then it became too frequent. Went to a diesel. For pulling heavy I wouldn't go back to gas but apparently you have been there and done that.
