I do know for a fact that after the local horse slaughter house had to close, the guys who went to the local livestock auction had to start locking up their stock trailers during the sale, because on several occasions, when they came out after the sale, there would be a couple of old horses in them.
Banning horse slaughter was one of the more idiotic cave-ins to the tree huggers we have had- especially since almost all the horse owners associations are in favor of horse slaughter, not against it.
