Wouldn't it be lighter at the equator because of the centrifugal force?
And... When calculating the size of a parachute for a cargo drop, the latitude has to be figured in... Even though the weight is not affected by the latitude.
And... Rockets fired into space require less fuel when launched near the equator... Think that has something to do with the "slingshot" effect though, not weight.
