Paul, I just can't go with that. If I have the money and want to buy something I can say no and walk away if I think the price is to high. How does that leave the seller in charge? Seller can't make me buy anything. They have no power in that regard. I have sellers follow me back to my car trying to come down off their price that was "firm". "Well today I'd take", yea right.
Was a guy here in MN trying to sell a couple of letter series Farmall tractors. Not restored and nothing really special about them. He kept relisting them for over a year and dropping his firm price until he got down to a reasonable level. Sounds like he was sure in charge to me. Wal Mart for an example can't make me shop in their stores. I chose, with the exception of taxes where and what I spend my money on. Don't like a manufacturer? Don't buy their products. Don't like a store? Shop elsewhere. Don't like a price? Walk away. That gives the seller very little power unless it's a very rare or one of a kind item. I've never felt that a seller had any power over me or a transaction.
