I probably drain a half cup of water out of my compressor every day, more in damp weather.
I did some work for a man one time that had a small smudge pot compressor and at the end of every single day he drained it empty. After a week of this I had to ask him why he let the air out of the compressor every day and he said the directions said to drain the compressor daily. When I explained what the directions meant he probably drained two gallons of water out of it.
