The seceret is not to put them in the yard in the first place. Always pile the snow up on the gravel. Or put a 4-5 inch slag pipe on blade. This will leave a little snow behind. Grade driveway, level it, before it snows. Pull the snow on the road and even it out so there isn't a pile on the road.
I have a front and rear blade. My front blade, floats in the front loader. It has a 4 inch plastic slag pipe. It won't dig in to anything. Can plow over grass and it won't damage grass. Leaves about 1 inch of snow behind.
Everyone needs to learn not to pile snow in grass. Now you've learned your lession, I bet you will figure out a better way.
I've used a broom leaf rake, even a weedwacker to throw rocks back in drive. Good luck.
