My son has a friend that worked for an outfit that pumped grout into old wells and mines. I don't know at what point they are required to do that, but apparently there are regs that require it.
A gas pipeline that went through a friend's property blew up several years ago. The crater was huge. Flames were close to 300' tall. Lit up the night sky like high noon.
