Yo Bob, for RV use your beer drinking cheese and brats eating well to do "Brother in law" bought a Wilson and I bought a cheaper Wilson knock off on Flea Bay and they BOTH seem to work great. We have a small antenna on the RV rooftop which leads to the amplifier inside and it in turn wires to an internal repeater antenna inside the RV. It usually raises my bars at least one more often two and yeppers better cell phone operation. The other type of cell phone boosters are the cradle units but I like our dual antenna (receiving and repeater) system the best. If he and I agree on that how could you question what kind lol.
For a fixed residential application Id hang the receiving antenna up high on a roof peak and the amplifier and repeating antenna somewhere in the middle of your home.
In the "valley" where you live up there do you have running water and electricity yet??
