Here in SE MN there are lots of frozen underground pipes. Places with no snow cover the frost is near 6 foot deep. 6 foot is the bury depth for our area. Most towns are advising to take your waters temp, if its below 40 let your water run for the next 2 months! I replaced my water lines at the farm last year. Had a guy do it with a boring machine. All my lines are from 8 to 18 ft now. Might have been money well spent.
