After a two year project, I finally got a Keystoker boiler running in a shed apart from my house. I have lines buried that bring the hot water to the house and then lines underground going from the house to our small dog boarding kennel. Previous to completing this we heated the house with fuel oil and the kennel with propane. Both have hydronic heat so to combine them all was fairly simple. Our combined bill for both was easily Iin the $4000 dollar range for the year, so far burning anthrecite coal (bagged, rice size) we have purchased 8 tons and 800 pounds and have spent just over $2100 and im hoping to make it to spring on that, perhaps one more ton to be shure. I still have the fuel oil and propane for back up, and with the severity of this winter I have been so happy not seeing the delivery truck! And in keeping this tractor related, I spread the ashes on the driveway with the JD 1020
