I remember you said this some time ago, its certainly is not an easy life, you have a lot to be proud of.
In '95 I witnessed my friends place burn to the ground, he just passed away, but somehow stayed in it, was not the same, but you have to give yourself credit for overcoming this as best can be done. It was arson, they never caught who did it or really knew why, and it was on Fathers day while he was with his family at out to eat somewhere. Machine shed, shop it was so hot, the wind was strong, it lept across the yard to the dairy barn, consumed everything in its path, nothing could be done, the silos were shooting vapor out, I thought they were going to detonate, the heat was so intense, I was at least 500 feet from it. The losses were significant, thankfully with that wind, he did not lose the house, it was that close, melted siding. Some machinery, tractors, and livestock were lost, it was extremely hard to watch. The town prevented him from having a benefit concert to raise money, as the insurance did not cover all, even the darned community is against you, yet he overcame this, but had to sell some land because of it.
Thank you for sharing, and supporting what these guys do, and go through to stay in it !
